Welcome to Misk Arts Institute (“MAI”). Our site is owned and operated by Misk Arts Institute (“we” “us” “our” etc.)
By using this Platform you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions herein
1- INTRODUCTION
These are the terms and conditions that govern the attendance at the Event provided by Misk Arts Institute. Please take a moment to read and understand them carefully.
By your attendance to this Event, you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them, including any additional terms, conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.
The Event may be held virtually, physically or a hybrid of both. These terms and conditions apply to registrations at all types of Events (virtual, physical or hybrid), although some sections may only apply to a certain type.
2- DEFINITIONS
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:
2.1 “Event” means any and all types of events held or operated by MAI.
2.2 “we/us/our” means (as appropriate) Misk Arts Institute .
2.3 “Organizer/Owner” means Misk Arts Institute employees and subcontractors.
2.4 “Delegates” or “you/your” means (as appropriate) the attendee or participant registered to attend the Event.
2.5 “Venue” means the exhibition hall or area where in which the physical Event shall take place.
2.6 “Event Platform” means website, app or other platform designated to hosting any virtual aspects of the Event.
2.7 “Content” means all materials, data, information and products provided as, relating to or forming part of the Event.
2.8 “Intellectual Property” means copyrights, trademarks, database rights and/or any other intellectual property rights as recognized in any jurisdiction.
3- EVENT POSTPONEMENT OR CANCELLATION.
Our Event is free of charge. We do not guarantee that our Event will take place on the announced date, Misk Arts Institute reserves the right at anytime and at its sole discretion to:
(a) cancel or postpone the Event; and/or
(b) cancel a delegate’s attendance at the Event.
In the event of such cancellation or postponement, Misk Arts Institute will use reasonable endeavours to notify you of any changes.
4- ACCESS, EQUIPMENT, AND REGISTRATION
4.1 RESGITRATION ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
If you are registering on behalf of someone else, it is your responsibility that the person participating is aware of the terms and conditions and agrees to them. By completing the registration process, you acknowledge that you have made the participant aware of the terms and conditions and have agreed to abide by them.
4.2. VIRTUAL EVENT AND VIRTUAL ELEMENTS OF HYBRID EVENT
If relevant, you shall be responsible for supplying all computer and telecommunications equipment necessary for you to access the Event.
4.3. PHYSICAL EVENT AND PHYSICAL ELEMENTS OF HYBRID EVENT
If relevant , your right to access the Event venues shall be strictly subject to all these Terms and Conditions, policies and rules and regulations imposed by Misk Arts Institute and/or the relevant Event venue and any other applicable laws and regulations. Delegates must also ensure that they comply with the reasonable directions of the relevant Event venue.
You must insure and keep insured any property or equipment that you bring to the Event venue at your own risk. Misk Arts Institute shall not in any circumstances assume any liability for such property or equipment.
4.4. The Owner may also exclude any potential participant from registering for or attending the Event, in the Owners sole discretion.
5- LIABILITY
You are required to make yourself aware of and comply with:
(a) the Code of Conduct,
(b) all applicable laws, standards and regulations
(c) all reasonable directions of the Event venue personnel.
(d) all the policies, rules and regulations governing the participation in the Event and any/or access to the Event venue, including any additional terms, conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.
Misk Arts Institute and its affiliates expressly excludes any liability for any property damage or loss incurred at any time in relation to the Event or for any damage or loss caused by the removal or refusal of entry of the delegates pursuant to these terms and conditions.
Misk Arts Institute shall not be liable (whether such liability arises due to negligence, misrepresentation, or otherwise) for any direct losses or damages which it has not expressly assumed liability for above or for any indirect or consequential losses or damages, in each case, even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable or Misk Arts Institute had been advised of the possibility of the delegate incurring the same. In addition, Misk Arts Institute shall not be liable (whether such liability arises due to negligence, misrepresentation, or otherwise) for any claims for loss of use or any loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data or any loss of use or damage or loss suffered by any delegate as a result of an action brought by a third party, in each case whether direct, indirect or consequential and even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable or Misk Arts Institute had been advised of the possibility of the delegate incurring the same.
The delegate shall indemnify Misk Arts Institute and its affiliates, and keep them indemnified and harmless, for any costs, losses, or damages that Misk Arts Institute suffers, incurs or pays to any Event venue or software or other supplier connected to the event arising from or connected to: (i) any breach by the delegate of these terms and conditions; (ii) any damage done to any Event venue or any equipment thereon (whether provided by Misk Arts Institute , the Event venue or otherwise) by the delegate, including, but not limited to, any equipment provided for the Event; and (iii) any injury suffered by any person or item caused by or in consequence of any act or omission of the delegate.
For the avoidance of doubt, MAI is not responsible for delegate’s missing, damaged, or stolen possessions caused by attending any relevant event.
6- CODE OF CONDUCT
Misk Arts Institute is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful and rewarding experience for everyone attending the Event, whether held physically or virtually. These guidelines are made to ensure that all delegates understand what behavior is expected, and what behavior will not be tolerated at the Event.
6.1 EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
All Event delegates, whether they are attending physically or virtually, are expected to behave in accordance with professional standards, with both this Code of Conduct as well as the applicable laws and regulations. Including but not limited to;
(a) being considerate and respectful to all Event attendees.
(b) listening carefully to speakers, judges and any MAI instructors.
(c) wearing appropriate clothing
Note that the dress code is, for:
For Men: Formal attire such as the Saudi thobe or business casual attire, provided it is appropriate and suitable for the professional environment.
For Women: Formal attire such as the Abaya or business casual attire, provided it is appropriate and suitable for the professional environment.
(d) refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior.
(e) adhering to all code of conduct, policies and terms & conditions of the Event and venue.
6.2 UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
Unacceptable behavior in any form conducted during the Event whether physically or virtually will not be tolerated. This includes, but not limited to:
(a) intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, or demeaning behavior.
(b) violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed against another person.
(c) sexist, racist, or discriminatory jokes and language.
(d) personal insults, particularly those related to gender, race, religion, or disability.
(e) inappropriate photography or recording.
(f) failure to obey to any rules or regulations of the Event venue.
(g) disrespect the positive image of Islam, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or Misk Arts Institute .
(h) Acts of sabotage. You acknowledge and agree that the Owner has the right to reject your participation if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your participation or conduct is disruptive or impairing.
(i) Recording, live streaming and videography. Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video of sessions in the Event without written consent from the owner.
(j) Unethical/non-compliant business practices. The Owner has the right to refuse participation to anyone who engages or is known to engage in unethical business practices or non-compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
If you observe anything that conflicts with this Code of Conduct, if you are being harassed, or have any other concerns, please report it to a member of MAI immediately or otherwise report it to local authorities, if relevant.
7- PHOTOGRAPHY AND PUBLICATION PERMISSION
7.1 You authorize and grant Misk Arts Institute the right and permission to copyright and/or publish, reproduce or otherwise use your name, voice, and likeness in video, photographs, written materials, and audio-visual recordings.
You acknowledge and understand these materials about or of you may be used for both commercial and/or non-commercial purposes.
7.2 You understand that any material taken of you may be edited, copied, exhibited, published and/or distributed. You also understand this material may be used individually or in conjunction with other media in any format, including without limitation to print publications, digital publications, and/or public broadcast for any lawful purpose. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor are there any geographic limitations on where these materials may be distributed.
7.3 You hereby acknowledge and grant Misk Arts Institute and its employees, subsidiaries, agents, licenses, successors, and third-party organizations all ownership rights and irrevocable right and permission to use, copyright, publish, sell, distribute, and/or promote the recorded video, photo, interview, and/or audio.
7.4 You understand that your attendance is voluntary and that you may, at any time, discontinue your involvement and not attend this Event.
7.5 You understand that Misk Arts Institute can see no risk presently, and that you take full responsibility for your registration in this Event and the risks that it may entail (either legal, physical, or mental) and release Misk Arts Institute from any claims, demands, losses, damages, suits, and liabilities of any kind whatsoever in connection with the foregoing.
7.6. Permit for Using Professional Cameras:
All individuals wishing to use professional cameras must obtain prior permission from the Organizer or its authorized representatives. The use of any professional camera without a permit is considered a violation of these terms and may expose the user to legal liability including but not limited to, confiscating your devices that are in violation.
8- TERMS OF USE
8.1 YOU MUST KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS SAFE, if you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us by sending an email to [email protected]
8.2 DO NOT RELY ON INFORMATION ON THIS EVENT, the content on our Event is provided for general information only. It is not intended to be an advice on which you should rely on. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our Event. Although we make reasonable efforts to review the provided content, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our Event is accurate, complete or up to date
8.3 WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEBSITES WE LINK OR REFER TO, where we may at our Event refer to or contain links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these are provided for your information only. Such sites and resources should not be interpreted as approval by us of those websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.
8.4 WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR VIRUSES AND YOU MUST NOT INTRODUCE THEM, we do not guarantee that our platform will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes to access our platform. You should use your own virus protection software. You must not misuse our platform by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our platform, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our platform. You must not attack our platform via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our platform will cease immediately.
8.5 HOW WE MAY USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, we will only use your personal information and cookies as set out in our privacy policy.
9- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
9.1 All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, the Event content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by Misk Arts Institute , its affiliates and/or the Event sponsors or speakers presenting at the Event. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the Event, in any Event content and/or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Event for any reason except for your own personal use and benefit and not for resale, distribution or other commercial purposes.
9.2 For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed to vest in you any legal or beneficial right in or to any trademarks or other intellectual property rights owned or used under license by Misk Arts Institute any of its affiliates or grant to you any right or license to any other intellectual property rights of Misk Arts Institute or its affiliates, all of which shall at all times remain the exclusive property of Misk Arts Institute and its affiliates.
10- WAIVER AND SEVERABILITY
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
If any provision of these terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable or invalid, we and you nevertheless agree that such provision should be interpreted to accomplish the objectives of the provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining parts of the terms will continue in full force and effect.
11- GOVERNING LAW
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
12- Entire Agreement
These terms together with and any other policies hyperlinked or referenced herein, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your registration and attendance in our Event and any other services related to our Event.

We may amend these terms from time to time. Each time you wish to attend any of our events, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. Your attendance following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
