Misk Art Institute offers emerging painters a three-week micro-residency to refine their painting practice through professional development opportunities, industry trips, masterclasses, and workshops. 


Participants will grow their professional practice into work that can be exhibited locally and regionally. This micro-residency focuses on connecting participants with commercial and exhibition opportunities and providing industry feedback through guided crit sessions and local curatorial visits. 

You Will Gain:

  3. Access to Masaha studio space for 3 weeks
  4. Masterclass with AUC associate professor
  5. Crit sessions with industry professionals



What is Required from Participants:


  1. Start a new conceptual work
  2. Bring an existing body of work for development and feedback
  3. Commit to attending daily from 1:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 


This Micro-Residency Explores: 


  1. Professional and creative skill development
  2. Conceptual narratives and aesthetic choices
  3. Symbolism, minimalism, and design elements


Who is it for?


Riyadh based contemporary painters who meet the following:


- Have 2+ years of emerging exhibition history

- Actively practicing and participating in the Saudi visual arts sector


The applicants must also be fully committed to prioritizing this three-week program, with no exceptions.
