Za'atari Camp, close to Jordan’s northern border with Syria was established in 2012, since that time it has developed from an impromptu gathering of a few tents into a massive urban settlement home to more than 80,000 displaced people.

As part of the King Salman Humanitarian and Relief center's initiative program Misk Art Institute organized a series of educational workshops for the children at Al Zatari camp. Using materials from the environment, children living in Za'atari Camp enjoyed a weekend of creative recycling workshops led by members of the Misk Art Institute team.

The workshops allowed the children to experiment and create pinhole cameras using boxes, in addition to creating kites by using plastic bags.
