Misk Art Institute is excited to invite art and graphic design students across Saudi Arabia to participate in a unique poster exhibition during Misk Art Week 2024. This year, the theme challenges students to reflect on the impact of media and technology on culture through the lens of pixel art.


Themes:


  1. Digital Life and Culture
  2. Technology and social media have a significant impact on how people express themselves today as well as how our culture is shaped.
  3. Human Creativity vs. Technology
  4. Relationship between human imagination and technology. What is the relationship between them, and can technology replace human creativity?
  5. Connected Cultures
  6. Technology connects people from different places and affects our cultural traditions in both positive and negative ways.
  7. The Future of Art and Technology
  8. What does the future of art look like with technology and how can artists use technology to create? How do we balance innovation with remaining true to our artistic roots

Submission Guidelines:


  1. Style: Posters must be designed in or incorporate pixel art style and reflect the exhibition themes.
  2. Originality: The submitted poster must be an original idea created by the student. No imitations allowed.
  3. Size: Posters should be in A0 size.
  4. Eligibility: Open to art and graphic design students in Saudi Arabia only.
  5. Submission Limit: Each student may submit up to 3 poster designs.
  6. Poster Printing: Misk Art Institute will handle printing the posters for the exhibition.
  7. Copyrights: Students retain the copyright to their posters, but Misk Art Institute reserves the right to use them for marketing and promotional materials.

Selection Process:


Misk Art Institute will select posters that will be showcased during Misk Art Week.
