Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi was appointed as the UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development in October 2017. As Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Her Excellency is responsible for the promotion of all UAE cultural fields on both a national and international level. She also sponsors and supports activities to develop and nurture young talent within the community. She previously held the post of Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.
Ms. Lush, a British-American Journalist, is an Executive Editor of Hub Culture, a Communication Trainer and MC. She is a co-host for the CBS distributed Global Goals podcast, which is part of the ‘We Are All Human Foundation’, an organization devoted to promoting radical inclusion and diversity and fights racism and discrimination.
Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi is an Emirati columnist and researcher on social, political and cultural affairs in the Arab Gulf States whose articles have appeared in The Financial Times, The Independent, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, Foreign Policy, Open Democracy, The National, and The Globe and Mail, as well as other notable publications.
Mona Khazindar, a Saudi national, was appointed Director General of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris (Arab World Institute) from March 2011- March 2014. From 1987 till her appointment as Director General she headed the Department of Contemporary Art and Photography in the museum of the Institut du Monde Arabe. During that period, she focused on modern and contemporary art from the Middle East.
Jerome Neutres, PhD, a writer and curator, was born in France in 1970. After completing his studies in literature and semiology of the text and the image, he has been curating some forty art shows since 1996, among which the acclaimed digital exhibition “Artists & robots” at the Astana International Expo (2017), and in the Grand palais, Paris (2018). His researches focused mainly on pioneer artists and innovative forms and mediums of art.
Nada Shabout is a Professor of Art History and the Director of the Contemporary Arab and Muslim Cultural Studies Initiative (CAMCSI) at the University of North Texas. She is the founding president of the Association for Modern and Contemporary Art from the Arab World, Iran and Turkey (AMCA).
