Celebrate Bil Jiwar – all that surrounds us

An annual event, the 2018 edition of Misk Art Week explores the theme of Bil Jiwar – the ‘nearby’ the ‘next door’ and the ‘neighbourhood’. We’re living through extraordinary changes and exciting, unprecedented cultural experimentation. The theme recognisies the currents of vibrant contemporary creativity that exist within Saudi Arabia and the Arab world. It seeks to harness the vast energy of our current context to transform our environment – bringing together creativity, people and spaces in a celebration of the moment and the location.

Now is the moment to bring together the vivid imagination of the city, the country and the region to celebrate and create.

In the spirt of the theme, Misk Art Week invites proposals and ideas from artists, galleries, creatives and cultural enthusiasts who want to contribute to this massive urban transformation.
