Misk Art Institute has partnered with the School for Curatorial Studies in Venice for an intensive five-day masterclass on exhibition making, from concept to execution. The masterclass covers all that is needed to work in a gallery, museum, or any other art institution.
Participants will have the opportunity throughout this practical and interactive masterclass to learn the methods of working in groups and how to competently work in the managements of arts.
Exhibition making involves a wide set of skills and capacities, the masterclass covers:
How to manage multiple professions simultaneously
How to engage with a variety of people and negotiate working conditions
The professional competencies needed to plan and manage a small gallery or exhibition office
In addition to the theoretical aspect, participants apply their knowledge by curating and organizing a hypothetic exhibition thinking about:
Developing an idea for a show
Selecting artworks
Finding a location and organizing all the bureaucratic aspects that are required, including transportation and display
Participant will gain the tools and the skills needed to organize a show in a major venue as well as in small or private place.

Saudi curators, arts workers, gallerists, and exhibition makers.
