Misk Art Institute has partnered with PhMuseum to offer a five-day masterclass unpacking the need for critical thinking while building a new body of work.
What is a tradition?
How is a legacy traced?
With these questions in mind, participants will be invited to expand their critical thinking, examine contemporary references, and gain methods that will support the development of a project from its conception to dissemination. The masterclass will guide the production of a new body of work using AI technology (DALL-E 2) and critically analyze its results.
Alternating practical exercises with theoretical inputs each day will have a specific focus aimed at:
Strengthening each participant’s practice
Acquiring the required tools and strategies to present research to an audience in several formats
Writing biographies, artist statements, and grant applications
Create a new project with AI generated images, biography, and synopsis
