The Art Library Launch and Book Signing

Celebrating the launch of volumes nine and ten of The Art Library series

Misk Art Institute is committed to providing content and context for the Arab art sector through The Art Library: Discovering Arab Artists. The Institute is celebrating the launch of the latest volumes highlighting Saudi artist Manal AlDowayan in Manal AlDowayan: Participatory Acts” and the late Emirati artist Hassan Sharif in “Hassan Sharif: Woven” through concurring exhibitions, talks, and a book signing event. 

• Opening remarks – with Basma Alshathry and Mona Khazindar. 

• Weaving a Mental Gesture (English) – a conversation with Catherine David and Isabelle Van Den Eynde, moderated by Cecilia Ruggeri.

• Journey to the Participatory – a conversation between Manal AlDowayan and Dr. Maha Alsenan, moderated by Nora Algosaibi.
