Artistic depictions of environment, culture, and the evolving cityscapes of Saudi Arabia

Misk Art Institute presents Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall Exhibition: Summer 2024, an open-call exhibition featuring Saudi artists of all levels to explore the theme of “Media and Technology” through photography, videography, digital art, installations, and multidisciplinary artworks. 

Since its inception in 1985, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall has been a landmark in the creative community. It draws audiences through art exhibitions featuring a wide spectrum of artists of all levels. Inspired by the Hall’s role in the development of the Saudi art scene, Misk Art Institute invites artists to apply to the inaugural annual Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall Exhibition: Summer 2024.

Through the lens of the urban experience in Saudi Arabia, artists are encouraged to ِeither:

- Explore the interplay between public and private spaces.

- Study the way people relate to their cities from different perspectives.

- Portray to the changing landscapes and cityscapes of Saudi Arabia's diverse cities.

Who’s it for?

Saudi and Saudi residents who meet the following criteria:

• Visual artist 

• Over 21 years old

• Individual applications only (art collectives and duos cannot apply as a group)

All levels welcome, no previous exhibition experience is required. 

Submitted artworks must meet the following criteria:

• Artwork/s must contain an element of technology or media within the work. Such as photography, video, installation, or digital elements. 

• Artwork/s must be durable enough for shipping, framing, and installation 

• An artist can submit up to three artworks

Selection Criteria

The Misk Art Institute curatorial team will review all applications considering:

• Visual impact (composition and design)

• Strength of concept

• Skill and technique

• Innovation 

• Relevance and suitability
