Hatem Al-Ahmad is a multidisciplinary artist whose work employs observational techniques to present conceptual and philosophical notions engaging with multiple contexts, weaving ambiguity and imagination to offer transhistorical and transnational bridges. He completed a degree in Computer Engineering in 2021 from King Khalid University. 

Al-Ahmad spent time at the seminal  Al-Miftaha  Cultural Village, a cultural center in Abha, where he trained in drawing, painting, sculpture, and printing. In 2021, he completed a residency at Jeddah’s Albalad organized by the Saudi Ministry of Culture. In 2019 and with other artists, Al-Ahmad co-founded Phi Studio in Abha, Saudi Arabia, an art studio that aims to create a creative environment for its community for contemporary art. 

In 2021, Al-Ahmad staged a solo exhibition, What is there to fear of “damp”  at Lift Gallery  in Riyadh. He has participated in group exhibitions in the Kingdom and abroad, including  Refusing to be Still  with the Saudi Art Council (2018), and Un oeil ouvert sur le monde arabe with Institut du Monde Arabe (2018). 

His work can be found in Mono Gallery, Athr Gallery, Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris, Hub Gallery, Lift Gallery, and the Embassy of Syria in Berlin.
