Almarzoqi’s journey as a photographer began through a contest on an online forum in 2004 in which he participated with an image of a camel rider crossing the road. After winning third place, he started working on many photography projects landing him memberships in cultural and art committees. One of them was the National Programme Cultural and Art Committee for Developing Theatre in Riyadh. In partnership with the cultural and art committee in Dammam, Almarzoqi established and managed the photography  Zero Degrees Gallery in 2012. Since 2016, Almarzoqi has been managing  Sedrat Al Funoon, a cultural organization that was founded by his spouse, Deyaa Hilal, in 2015. What started as an online magazine transformed into an art salon for artists. Now, it is a cultural organization located in Riyadh’s cultural district, JAX.

Almarzoqi will work on his short film, Sarah, as well as a publication that will feature portraits of artists he has met throughout his journey.
