(B. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)

Nada Al-Turki is a Saudi writer and journalist interested in the field of arts and culture whose work discusses social concepts and dilemmas. She started her career as a law student at Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia. Al-Turki’s passion and interest in journalism increased during her studies, so she decided to shift paths from legal to writing. She graduated with a BA in Journalism Studies and a Minor in Poetry Writing from Emerson College in Boston.

Upon her graduation, she expanded her experience in digital editing at MuslimGirl magazine and was an independent contributor to Voice of America News, DigBoston and Bay State Banner. She covered themes of cultural art, gender issues, social change, and societal progress while focusing on the stories of people of color and Muslim women through the social commentary series showing how small communities have adapted during the pandemic. Al-Turki has also published articles on music such as album reviews and artist interviews.

In her return to Saudi Arabia, she aims to broaden the the female Muslim and Arab narrative and move away from believing in the "one-perspective story" created by the West. She also hopes, through her work with artists and creators, to shed light on the innovation and talent that has been and will continue to be a source of inspiration for her work.
