Youssef Jaha studied in Makkah and continued his higher education at the Institute of Art Education in Riyadh (1972). Later, Jaha received a bachelor’s degree in art from Umm Al-Qura University (1983) and taught art in schools until 2008, when he decided to dedicate himself to being a full-time artist.

Jaha exhibited extensively in group exhibitions abroad, including Edge of Arabia, the United Kingdom (2008); the 8th Cairo International Biennale, Egypt (2001); The Arab Islamic Contemporary Art Exhibition, Turkey (1993); 4th Asian Biennale Exhibition4th Art Exhibition, Bangladesh (1989); The Art and Culture of Saudi Exhibition, Italy (1984); The Saudi Art Exhibition, Turkey (1984); The Saudi Art Exhibition, India (1983); and at the Golden Sail Gallery, Kuwait (1983). Jaha held six solo exhibitions in Saudi Arabia between 1987 – 2019, the most recent of which was held at Mono Gallery, Saudi Arabia (2019).

Jaha won numerous awards, including the Beautifying Holy Makkah Prize, Saudi Arabia (2010), Al-Danah Award for the 25th Art Exhibition, Kuwait (1997); Saudi Color Competition, Saudi Arabia (1992 and 1997); Golden Palm Award, Saudi Arabia (1989); and the 3rd General Art Exhibition, Saudi Arabia (1979). He has also sold works in the Chiswick Auction in London.

His work can be foundhave been acquired by in local and international collections, including the Jordanian National Museum, Jordan; King Fahd International Airport, Saudi Arabia; and the Ministry of InformationCulture, Saudi Arabia.
