Myrna Ayad

Cultural Strategist

Myrna Ayad established her namesake consultancy in 2018, focusing on art advisory and cultural strategy and is recognized as one of the Middle East’s leading cultural commentators. Her clients include Pepsico, the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth, the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, Bulgari, Bain, Pelham Communications, Riyadh’s Misk Art Institute, and Assouline, with whom Ayad published Sheikh Zayed: An Eternal Legacy (2021) focused on the late Ruler of the Emirates; as well as Dubai Wonder (2021) as part of the House’s travel series.

From 2016 to 2018, Ayad was Director of Art Dubai, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia’s foremost international art fair. Prior to this, Ayad was Editor of Canvas, the premier magazine for visual art from the Middle East, where she worked from 2007 to 2015, overseeing the production of the title’s affiliate newspapers, catalogues, and luxury art books. She lives in Dubai with her husband and two children.

Salah Elmur

Painter, Illustrator, Photographer, and Filmmaker

Salah Elmur is a Sudanese artist. In 1989, Elmur graduated in graphic design from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts in Sudan. An acclaimed painter, illustrator, photographer, and filmmaker, his artworks have been displayed across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Elmur's paintings tell a tale of passion mixed with dreams, imagination and old memories. His skills as an illustrator have won him several international awards, including an accolade from the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival. In 2018, he was the subject of a major retrospective at the Sharjah Art Museum, UAE.
