10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Language: Arabic

This is a course for aspiring writers who wish to specialize in the arts.

Over the six engaging days of in-person classes journalist Abeer Mishkhas breaks down the art ecosystem and the related range of writing styles needed to enter the discourse of this diverse and fascinating cultural sector.

Topics covered include writing for:

  • Art pages in general interest newspapers

  • Business publications

  • Press releases

  • Academic catalogues

The course offers insights and practical advice from specialists currently working in the field. Participants will learn how to develop their own critical writing and explore current and emerging opportunities for getting work published—as well as gaining practical advice on how to get ahead and making sure that they are giving editors (and readers) what they want and need.

In collaboration with Sotheby's Institute of Art.
