Explore the role of narrativity and fiction in creating designs

12:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Language: English

In this masterclass, participating designers will explore the role of narrativity in creating designs that could become cultural practices.

Led by Raafat Majzoub, each participant will have the opportunity to reflect on their cultural baggage, inspect their nostalgic patterns, and unpack their design practice. Afterward, participants will focus on futurist design, and learn how fiction can help them design for things to come and speculate their cultural impacts. Skills and literature will include worldbuilding, speculative fiction, and narrative design.

This masterclass is part of the Masaha Residency program themed “Memory Apparent”.
