A conscious design process is one that is active, aware, intelligent, empathetic, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders across the value chain.
Designers looking to develop a more environmentally and socially conscious design practice, this masterclass will provide are invited to apply to this masterclass led by Rana Beiruti.
With a focus on recognizing material implications, extractive processes, and the circular design potentials, participants in this masterclass will co-develop a new-century toolkit and process for questioning and evaluating future design needs and building a relevant and conscious design process.
The design practice will be looked at both as a tool to communicate the urgent and important problems we face today, as well as a process to address and mitigate them.
This masterclass is part of the Masaha Residency program themed “Memory Apparent”.
