This workshop led by Masaha Resident Hana Almili will take an in-depth look into rigorous process of using natural dye. You will be introduced to the idea of sustainability in art through the lens of slow fashion, or ‘slow art’, and how one can adopt eco-conscious methods like using natural resources, upcycling, and recycling. With a special focus on textiles, you will be discussing what we do wrong and what unsustainable practices does to the environment. The workshop will conclude with a highlight of more responsible production methods followed by real-life examples.
