Visual Poetry

Learn about the shapes and rhythms of poetry

In this workshop, learn how to create visual poetry—a written literary verse with intentional form, adding meaning to a poem. The form may take on recognizable shapes and may use free-formed patterns to create a new rhythm when reading the poem out loud. These shapes and rhythms are typically tied to the central ideas and themes contained within the poems and often serve to reinforce those concepts.

This workshop is part of the Brand New Ancients exhibition programming. 

Note: Workshop registration is done in person at the Hall, 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop.
